The Shannon Inn is a historic village pub in Bucklesham, Suffolk, with roots dating back to the early 19th century.
Originally a collection of shops called The Skinners Arms, it was renamed to honor the famous 1813 naval victory of HMS Shannon, led by local hero Captain Philip Broke. While cosy, the village legend claims that its prominent interior wooden beams were salvaged directly from the historic ship, but the building actually predates the vessel's dismantling.
For over two centuries, this charming venue served as the heart of the community, proudly preserving its warm welcome, rich naval folklore, and timeless character.
